Information and guidance for Staying Put Carers, Supported Lodgings Hosts and Settling in Schemes – using the provider portal.
Staying Put Carers: this arrangement allows young people in foster care to remain with their former foster carers after turning 18, typically until age 21, to support a transition to independence.
Supported Lodgings: a provision for young people aged 16+, whereby they live in the home of a ‘host’ family, individual or couple. Supported lodgings are a way to transition from foster care or a children’s home to living independently.
Settling in Scheme: short term floating support – assisting young people with tenancy sustainment, budgeting and daily living skills.
