About fostering

Fostering happens when children are unable to live with their birth parents or family.

This can be for a whole variety of reasons. Sometimes they may have experienced abuse, neglect or a parent may become ill and unable to care for their child.

In these situations, children or young people will be cared for by local council services who will help to find a temporary or permanent new home with a foster carer.

“It was such a relief when we spoke to someone at Bradford Fostering and found them to be so open minded”
