Bradford is committed to providing support for care leavers with disabilities, learning difficulties, or additional needs.
We aim to think ahead and work with you and your carers to ensure that any additional support needs are identified and any support you need in adult life is planned for before you leave care.
The leaving care service has good links with adult services and adult services and can support young people who have an adult social worker in planning what leaving care looks like and what additional support you could need.
If you don’t have support from adult services but need it, we can make a referral for you.
We will help you to find the support you need from other agencies and will advocate on your behalf if you want us to.
